What size wire is recommended? Is 16ga fine? null

I use 14GWA wire, the thicker wire is better for long runs and outdoors, if your not running them more than 50ft 16GWA will be fine.

Depends on the distance to the receiver. The longer the distance the smaller the gauge should be. 14-16 should work fine

These speakers are can be connected to a 4 to 8 ohms amp...so the gauge of your speaker cable will depend on the length. For 16awg cable >> 4ohm =24ft , 6 ohm=36ft, 8ohm=48ft . If you run longer you will lose power.
