A:AnswerGetting a replacement sent out will be no problem. I had a hum in my subwoofer and they sent me a new one! Also, you can use IR Learn mode with your Xfinity remote to use it for volume and power on / off control. It's a bit tricky.
A:AnswerAre you sure it's connected right? I know when my husband barley has the sound turned up on ours (like four or five clicks) the floors are rattling upstairs and I can hear the tv on the other side of the house. It's an awesome sound system. Check your connections again. I think something may not be paired right.
A:AnswerNot sure why that is happening. I have not experienced that with my unit but you can get a hold of the manufacture online and I believe they can troubleshoot that problem as I believe your unit may still be under warranty.
A:AnswerPer Definitive Technology tier 2 customer support, there are no firmware updates and never will be any firmware updates for the W Studio sound bar. It will always be version 1.0
A:AnswerMy experience with the w studio is the opposite of the person who answered first. Speech clarity is one of the great strengths of this unit. The quality of its speakers is very high and they are very clear. More importantly, it has three separate volume controls. One controls the overall loudness of the speakers. A second controls the volume of the sub woofer. The third controls the volume of the center channel - where most of the speech comes from. As a result, you can turn down the overall volume to just slightly lower than normal and increase the center channel volume so that speech is slightly louder than the overall system volume. Thus, the speech is easier to hear.
A:AnswerReally don"t know except maybe a problem with the wifi connection. You can call Def Tech and they will help you with troubleshooting the problem.
