This monitor would work perfectly fine for editing photos and using software such as Adobe Photoshop. For additional resolution you may also want to consider other monitors which feature 4K displays. This 24' Dell 1440p monitor will certainly work for most uses, but for serious use or professionals I might recommend going up to 4K.

This monitor is more advertised and built towards gamers who play FPS games or PC enthusiasts who are on a budget. If you wish to buy a color accurate monitor, I recommend that you go with an ISP monitor that is well callibrated. If you wish to have a gaming/photo editing monitor, buy this monitor but by a color callibrator for more accurate color.

The monitor is fantastic for any application. For editing photos you don't really need the high refresh rate of 165 Hz and G-SYNC technology for smooth gameplay, but I'm pretty sure you would be very happy with this monitor - I definitely am!
