Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is going to be greatly on the GPU (or graphics card) that is build into the mac. From my knowledge and experience with owning mac myself you should be ok running that setting at 60hz. Anything bigger and your are going to start seeing significant lag and pixelation. Hope this helps. But always remember its more about your GPU for graphics not your CPU.

Please try again later.yes. but you may have to reset output resolution depending on weather you like your image or not. applr runs at 16:10 format, and sometimes monitors act funny with its output. you can adjust your resolution in display settings to adjust if you need to. also you should tell the computer if you want to expand the screen in this same section (extending current screen) or mirror screen (whats on your computer is whats on the monitor). 60hz is standfard. if it doesnt respond try 59.9hz or close.
