• FYI Dell, DisplayLink is not the same thing as DisplayPort. To answer the question, I do believe the D3100 IS compatible with Macbook M1 hardware.

• This docking station does not work with a MacBook Air M1(2020). Dell Universal Dock - D6000 would be compatible with the MacBook Air M1 supporting two extended monitors through DisplayPort.
