- Answer This docking station helps me to connect 3 monitors simultaneously. I bought this docking station a month ago to use with my Mac Mini with an M1 chip (as M1 chips has limitations with multiple displays). The only problem is a slight decrease in resolution. Other than that it works perfectly.

QuestionNeed help downloading the driver for D3100 docking. Attempted to download but computer, which is a Dell Inspirion with Windows 10, blocked it saying it is harmful? Went straight from directions and directly from Dell website?

QuestionI know that the Dell 3100 is not listed as “compatible” with my XPS 13 7390. However, is there an adapter that i can buy that would make my USB 3.1 Gen 2 port look like a USB 3.0 to this dock? And make the D3100 compatible? Thank You.

- Answer You could connect the docking station D3100 with USB 3.0 to the USB 3.1 Gen 2 port in XPS 7390 with the adapter. However, the functionality may differ depends on the adapter capacity.

QuestionI see there are two other models almost $200 more. Is the only benefit of those the lightning ports and the ability to charge the laptop? I don’t see why anyone would buy those if this can do the job and you just need to plug your laptop into the wall.
