Unless you are doing image or video editing, or very heavy CAD and 3d design work, it should be able to get you through, the display is has a pretty bad color gamut so you dont wanna be doing anything that requires precise color work on this one, for Solidworks and other CAD software suites it should run them pretty decently as long as u are not making very complicated assemblies, more because of drivers that arent optimized for these types of software on the radeon side, but thats an issue with any non Quadro or AMD pro graphics equipped device so, not on the computer, has a webcam for video conferences and its quite a powerful little device

Eg: A 3D editing software such Autdesk Maya or CAD will require a high end system such as Dell mobile precision to get the task done.
