- Answer This model is quad-core. The core max turbo frequency is 4.00 GHz and the processor base frequency is 1.80 GHz. The answers to RAM expansion and where the OS is cannot be found.

- Answer I use a USB-C docking station and it works great. I have two monitors and the laptop monitor, which gives me three monitors.

QuestionSince this computer comes with two drives it would make sense that the documents, pictures, music, videos folders be stored on the larger 2 gigabyte drive. Does the Windows install default these folders to that drive and not drive c?

- Answer One would think, but no. I just checked in windows explorer and everything is in the OS C drive. The D drive labeled Data, is empty. Looks like I've got some changes to make.

QuestionDoes this laptop has a fingerprint reader? Dell website confinguration page stated the palmrest has fingerprint reader but on the description page it stated optional fingerprint reader in the power button. Everything are confusing.

- Answer Mine came with a fingerprint reader on the power button. I didn't do anything extra to get that option.

- Answer Yes. So it takes a chunk out of the drive's available memory but speeds up windows. I find it an acceptable tradeoff.

- Answer This PC configuration comes with Windows 10 Home version installed. You really won't need the Windows 10 Pro version, because it just has a few extra features that are designed for businesses and superusers....

- Answer These days, hardly any computer ships with actual disks. This laptop does not ship with any physical disks either. Almost all drivers, etc. are accessible from Dell's website on a product-by-product basis. The laptop does ship with an internal DVD-RW drive and you can create your own install disk on DVD or USB drive from this Microsoft site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

- Answer Nope Dell no longer lets you customize machines that way. However, its not hard nor expensive to swap out the drive for a faster one. Nice machine as it is, and with the SSD drive used for the operating system it is still very fast even with the slower mechanical drive used as a data drive.
