Espresso pods (E.S.E. Pods) are not usually found in US retail stores, but can be found online. My eperience with these pods is poor. Buy as good a burr grinder as you can and experiment with the grind to find the best for the coffee you are using for espresso. A plastic tamper is included with the machine, but I found that a 51mm stainless steel tamper made a real difference in flavor and cleaning out the pucks of coffee from the filter. There are numerous tutorials and reviews online that will explain how to use the machine and variables in making good espresso. I hope this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.[o] I never use pods, so I don't know. [o] Yes, a tamper is included. But per my post a few minutes ago, it's nearly irrelevant because tamping to any degree results in bitterness. [o] I'm using the same old Mr. Coffee grinder that I've had for years, adjusted to the finest grind setting. Works great.
