Hello, since this is a manual unit, you will need to manually turn the device off to stop the pour. If you feel your unit is producing too watery of espresso, we recommend using a finer grind coffee ground or perform a descale of your unit. If you require further assistance, please feel free to contact us Mon.-Fri. between the hours of 9:00 am - 8:00 pm est by calling 1-800-322-3848 or reach us via our web chat feature found on our website. www.delonghi.com Thank you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn it on let it warm up until the green light shows make sure you insert enough coffee and you pack it down. One shot of espresso is 1 ounce of water two shots is 2 ounces etc. you can buy these neat Delonghi 2 ounce glass cups that will compliment your machine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A proper shot of espresso is one ounce so any small measuring device should work. In my experience a double, or even a triple shot glass is the easiest to use. It will allow you to brew a double shot and the wider mouth makes dispensing easier

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A shot of espresso is just that.. a shot. About 2 ounces. Best to add a shot of espresso to regular iced coffee for the caffeine boost. When done and turned to "on" it will heat up for another shot. Otherwise just turn it off. Enjoy!
