A:Answer I took my HP Pavilion dv6 Laptop into the Beavercreek Store because it was not working. A technician examined it and concluded that my Mother-board was burnt-out. My timing for being there was to pickup the new AC Power Adapter I had purchased online. My instinct or intuition wouldn’t except that my Mother-board was shot. So, I brought that Power Adapter home and tried it out. It didn’t solve my computer problem. This Adapter was plugged and the computer was turned on boot-up then turn back off. After about 20 times of doing this - it would stay on for hours. This let me know my Mother-board was not bad, and Best Buy had sold me the wrong Power Adapter Battery Charger. So, I returned that Adapter and purchased another one online, and except for regularly getting messages that it does not have compatibility strength equal to the original - it has my computer working fine. Except the internal computer battery is old and doesn’t hold a charge as long as it used to hold. It looks like I replaced the Battery with SKU: 6111868, Model: NM-O06-6, Description: LAPTOP REPLACEMENT BATTERY FOR HP; and SKU: 4409102, Model: DQ-AC195333-4530; Description: REPLACEMENT COMPAQ/HP LAPTOP AC ADAPTER
