QuestionDoes this receiver feature HDR pass thru (2.0a)?

- Answer It supports HDR10 4K 60p 4:4:4, 4:2:2 or 4K 60p 4:2:0 10 bit video signal, will but you MUST go deep into the setting menu to do it since unfortunately it defaults to only 2K pass through out of the box. To see the steps required, go to page 152 of the Denon Owner's Manual PDF for this model.

QuestionDoes this receiver allow one to connect a subwoofer? I couldn’t find a spot on the back of the receiver.

- Answer Yes, there are two Pre outs, labeled 1 and 2 on the back, RCA style plugs, that are used for subwoofer connection. Download the users manual, it is detailed there

QuestionIs the AVR compatible with HDR 10+? I assume it would be since its dolby vision compatible. just curious incase i get a tv that offers hrr 10 plus.

- Answer If you haven't done so already, download the user manual from Denon.com (it's a BIG file!) - https://usa.denon.com/us/product/hometheater/receivers/avrs730h (click onthe "Downloads", then download the "English" Owner's Manual). Referring to pages 125-127 of the manual: YES, you can play music in 2 zones. HOWEVER, using "Zone 2" for playback requires feeding the ANALOG L/R ("line-level") jacks - you cannot send audio from any "digital source" to "Zone 2". Hope this helps...

QuestionDoes this receiver come with any kind of warranty? I have purchased two other Denon receivers and they are notorious for blowing their Bluetooth. Can you tell me why this keeps happening. This latest receiver makes number 3!

- Answer Yes and Yes. Read the User Manual for installing the AM/FM antennas and using the tuner. Ditto for setting up Bluetooth.

QuestionI'm using an older flat screen tv that doesn't have ARC. How difficult will it be switching between Xbox, Apple TV, sat? It looks like all the HDMI cables will go into the receiver, then one HDMI out from receiver to the TV.

- Answer Are you using the flat screen as your speakers? if not, then it's no problem - the HDMI feed will send your VIDEO to the screen and the RECEIVER will handle all the audio (if you connect all your HDMI devices to the receiver's HDMI inputs). Now then, if your SCREEN is being used as an "audio source" (i.e., your HDMI devices are plugged into the screen's HDMI inputs), you need to install a TOSLINK (optical) cable between the screen's Toslink output (Digital bitstream) and one of the receiver's TOSLINK digital inputs (item "5" on page 20 of the User Manual) and "assign" that input so it'll decode, etc. the audio bitstream from the screen when you select your device from the screen's remote.

- Answer The "ZONE 2" outputs are AMPLIFIED SPEAKER OUTPUTS. IOW, just connect your "ZONE 2" speakers DIRECTLY to these terminals and make sure those speakers can handle 75 WPC continuous power (into 8 ohms).

- Answer Don't see why not. Follow the "Automated Setup" steps for installing the necessary wires/cables and let the Audyssey "calibration" routine Do It's Job. :) The User Manual/Quick Installation Guide will help guide you.

QuestionCan the HEOS be used to do wireless surround sound speakers? It seems to be a feature of the HEOS AVR, but for the normal receivers I cannot confirm either way.

- Answer I have not tried wireless speakers with my receiver. it works well with my iPhone and iMac. Very easy setup as well. For a normal receiver they would have to have Bluetooth capabilities as does the Denon 730. This would be a great question for Denon support team.
