Q: QuestionIf I have 4 inside speakers and 2 outside speakers all connected through the receiver, can I set up multiple zones to have them on at separate times. For example, I don’t want my outside speakers playing while I watch TV inside.

• A:Answer Yes. The outside speakers are Zone 2. The inside are Zone 1. You then select with the remote or on the front of the AVR which Zone you want to be active. The labeling at each connector on the back of the AVR and the Denon set-up guide make this a very easy process. Here's a tip. Read the set-up instructions all the way thru before starting the set-up. It is very useful, even for someone like me that was only replacing one established 7.1 AVR unit with a better, newer one. I have been very pleased with both the audio and video thru this Denon AVR.

Q: QuestionJust got this avr-s950h and got everything set up except can not get sound or pic from my nintedo wii and 64 even when following promp directions. But no prob with my ps3 and 4. Is there a problem with the unit or hook up. Any help would be great.

• A:Answer The issue you are likely having is that you are hooking up your Wii and N64 to your Denon receiver via component cables but you only have HDMI output from your Denon receiver to your TV. The Denon receiver will not convert the component input signal to HDMI so you won't get an image. You either have to connect component cables out from your Denon receiver to your TV or get a component to HDMI converter inline between your Wii and N64 and the Denon Receiver or you will have to go from N64 and Wii to your TV directly and have the TV output via HDMI or Optical to your Denon receiver. The easiest and cheapest route though is just running the component out from the receiver to the TV.

Q: QuestionIs it possible to listen via Bluetooth headphones and keep the speakers on? (My wife is hard of hearing so likes headphones while I want the speakers to stay on.)

Q: QuestionCan I output the same HDMI source to two difference TVs with both Video and Audio to both TVs via HDMI? On my current Denon AVR-X2300 I can only output A&V to one TV + Video to another TV.

  Unfortunately no, the 2nd HDMI out on this receiver will only show the same video from Monitor 1 with no sound.

• A:Answer That is a question for your budget. It also depends if you have speakers you can/want to keep. I have some Klipsch, Polk and my subwoofer is BIC America Formula F-12. Speakers are entirely subject for you and your budget. Has some medium and low priced speakers.

Q: QuestionI have 4 ion rock solar outdoor speakers that I connect to my iPhone . Will this receiver connect to those speakers to help with better quality and stop cutting in and out ? Can it be done with Bluetooth ?

• A:Answer I believe you're rock speaker will connect to a Denon 950 thru the Helios app on your reciever. The cutting in and out maybe due to a weak WiFi signal out side you're home. You may need to up grade you're internet router or a WiFi booster. That is my best guess. I hope this helps.

• A:Answer There was a limiter automatically set when I hooked up Zone 2, so you may need to get into the settings on the receiver itself (The app can't help you here) and remove the limit

Q: QuestionCan i connect 2) Klipsch R-12SW Reference Powered Subwoofer to this receiver would this be a good fit? Can it handle the watts for both subwoofers and if so how can i go about hooking two subwoofer with just one subwoofer output?

• A:Answer It will handle your Klipsch subwoofer just fine. The subwoofer is self powered, the receiver will only be sending audio signals not power. The Denon S950 does have two subwoofer outs labeled 1 &2. Pretty much every receiver nowadays comes with 2 subwoofer outs hence it being a 7.2. The first number represents 7 speakers (ie front left, right, center speakers, and 4 surrounds. The .2 means 2 subwoofers). If by some odd chance you actually only have one subwoofer output on your receiver, you can daisy chain the second subwoofer off of the first one or buy a 2 in 1 rca splitter cable that plugs into the receiver and plug the subs into the two output jacks.

Q: QuestionI have the Denon AVR-950h and the subs are polk psw-10's. I have tried everything I can think of but it only detects the sub in sub 1 not sub 2. I've checked setup and cant find an option for the second sub no matter what I do.
