A:Answer First you'll need to purchase a RCA Y adapter. I purchased a Mediabridge Ultra Series RCA Y-adapter, 1 Male to 2 Male for digital audio or subwoofer from Amazon. The end with the 2-male will go into the polk sub and the single end will go into the back of the Denon, Sub port. there are two ports on back of the denon. I ended up buying a 2nd Polk audio sub to enhance my listening experience and then needed to to purchase another RCA Y-adapter. You don't really need a second, but I just wanted to have the extra bass and it balances nice for what I like to hear...personal preference. I also read a post of someone that recommended getting a second one and so I followed their lead and I am pretty happy. Last, of course you'll plug in the power cord. I left the two toggle switches on the sub in the down position and have the knobs turned to about halfway to the middle. This also depends on your personal preference on how much bass you want. You can read the directions a bit more than I did or just play around with the switches and knobs as I did. I'd probably recommend reading the directions more. Also, I am assuming you bought the Polk PSW108 model, which is what I have. Once everything is hooked-up you should have a green light on the back of your sub. Hope this helps and "Enjoy the Silence!" Sorry, couldn't resist using the Depeche Mode reference!
