If you have the space, I would suggest the 24" depth because you will be making cable connections behind the AVR with hdmi and speaker cables and you need adequate space behind the cabinet for all the cables and connections to run in and out. 18" depth may be a little tight. Enjoy!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depth is not so much an issue as is the height of the application. Given that heat rises, it's more important to have at least 6 inches of clearance above the unit so the heat can dissipate properly.
