I've got 2 HEOS 7s, and a HEOS 5, along with 3 Google Homes, so I can answer this fairly easy. There currently is no out of the box integration as far as I know. If you buy Chromecast Audio's for each HEOS device, plug them into the headphone jack input in the back of the HEOS and in the HEOS app set each device to "aux input" and hit play, these speakers are always on and awaiting you to cast to the chromecast. It works well enough that I don't get any wife related complaints.
A few notes from experience:
1. Plug the chromecast into the wall for power and not the HEOS usb port. In my experience plugging into the USB port caused massive interference.
2. Certain apps (namely spotify) can connect directly to the HEOS rather than the Chromecast. You should train all users to connect spotify to the Chromecast rather than HEOS directly (otherwise it will change the input away from "input aux" and you will be wondering why you can't hear music).
3. Set the HEOS to 50-100% volume and use the chromecast app to adjust the volume playing. I find leaving HEOS on about 80-85% usually give me enough volume range for my rooms.
Other comments:
A. yes, the speakers were originally marketed as receiving google cast support within a month or two of release, which is why I bought them, to which Denon reneged on the promise.
B. But they are great speakers, with great sound quality so I do not regret my purchase.
C. The HEOS app interface is actually fairly decent (I'd say not overly intuitive but easy to learn) although locked to only partners that Denon has directly integrated with.
A:AnswerYes, connect both the iPhone and HEOS speaker to the Wi-Fi and download the HEOS app. Control the speaker with your phone through the HEOS app.
A:Answerafter talking with the store tech guy, I found out that it's a common problem. because i was going to use these at work and it's not good to have random skiping so i decided to return all 6 speakers. it's unfortunate since $99 (Thanksgiving sale) was a great price and sound was decent (though Sonos Play 1 is better. didn't get Play 1 because of Denon was much cheaper at the time).
A:AnswerNot sure what specs you're looking for but the Denon site has some info. http://www.denon.co.uk/uk/heos1hs2
I've enjoyed this speaker as well as the cinema sound bar by Denon
