Q: QuestionI have a denon soundbar dht- s514 it just started to to have some sort of noise or interference through the speakers while on! Checked all the connections, did a hard reboot but it doesn’t go away! I am using the optical cable as well. Thoughts appreciat

• A:Answer Mine has also started to make a horrible hissing sound. It also makes it when I use the Bluetooth with no cables connected except the power lead. Also tried it in another room in case it was getting interference from the tv etc. PLEASE HELP!

Q: Questioncan you install the denon dht-s514 soundbar to a receiver instead of directly to the tv?

• A:Answer Why would you want or need to do that? This denon has a built in amp and comes with a powered subwoofer. That's the whole point, to directly connect it to your tv so you don't need a separate receiver and satellite speakers for sound.

• A:Answer I had the same problem with it cutting in and out after 20 minutes of being on. Tried all sorts of things, but it was actually an overheating issue. I placed a small fan behind it and haven't had the issue since.

Q: QuestionIs dialog clear?Most of these reviews focus on the quality of sound when listening to music. Many people want/need a soundbar to compensate for the poor dialog sound coming from their TV, since dialog is, apparently, delivered to the center channel that many thin TVs lack. So...how does the Denon s514 handle dialog?

• A:Answer For the most part it handles dialogue very well. The only shows I have any difficulties with are those speaking the King's English (Outlander, Game of Thrones, etc), but then again that's not a new problem for me. In these cases I adjust to one of the other listening modes, or decrease volume on the sub-woofer.

Q: QuestionI haven't used the sound bar in a long time and lost the power cable. I found a cable that fits but is not the original. It turns on and the subwoofer is working but no sound coming out of the sound bar. Would this have anything to do with the power cable

• A:Answer I would say YES, since I'm having the same exact problem...have been looking for answers why would the sound come out of the subwoofer and not the soundbar; it must be the power adapter not having the right power output.

• A:Answer This soundbar has integrated keyholes for wall mounting (the wall mount is built-in) but it does not come with the bolts or hardware to insert into the wall - that would be done yourself.

• A:Answer I already bought a power cable for it so you can too I still have the system with me and the new power cable works fine just buy the correct one AC 125v 7A. DC 24 V, 2.5 A. And you should be good!

Q: QuestionMy Denon Wireless Subwoofer has sound but the sound bar doesn't? I've connected multiple ways with my LG TV (HDMI (ARC), HDMI and Optical and HDMI and analogue output and nothing. It is pairing and I can't find any ideas online.
