- Answer They are 10 day sensors, you have to have a prescription. It's best to see an endocrinologist, they may be able to start you out with a sample kit which will give you a transmitter and possibly a receiver. If your phone is compatible it's better. Most insurance covers it through a pharmacy or a medical equopment supplier. The Dexcom website also has programs and valuable info on financial assistance if needed.

QuestionIf purchased and pay the cash price also pay the non refundable fee for the Tele doctor online .At that time will the online doctor give the prescriptions. Or is only temporary. My grandmother is on hospice and really doesn't have a regular doctor

- Answer The sensor/transmitter has a non-rechargeable, integrated battery with a 10 day wear period, same as used on watchs.

- Answer All states require a customer/clinician interaction before a prescription can be issued. In states where customers are currently able to purchase a CGM, the customer/clinician interaction can happen through messaging. In the future, customers residing in states that require a customer/clinician video visit will also be able to purchase a CGM. States requiring a video visit include Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.

In states where customers are currently able to purchase a CGM, the customer/clinician interaction can happen through messaging and the fee for the messaging interaction is $20. In the future, customers residing in states that require a customer/clinician video visit will also be able to purchase a CGM and the fee for the video visit will be $40. States requiring a video visit include Arkansas, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kansas, Mississippi, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and West Virginia.

- Answer Unfortunately, a new script will need to be created via the telehealth process ($20) in order for you to get the product. It will be a quick process though once you are approved.

Based on your responses to a questionnaire, a clinician from Wheel Health will determine your need for a prescription. These asynchronous visits cost $20. In the future we hope to have the ability to accept uploads of existing prescriptions. Thank you!

QuestionI got a 30 day CGM? When will my CGM refills be available? Two of the sensors did not work and I am waiting for replacements from the manufacturer.

- Answer The sensors should arrive in a week, i has the same problem with my first one, each prescription allows you to purchase 3 sensors every month for 12 months, so you need to wait 30 days to order new ones. Try to put into thick skin to avoid problems.
