• Remove the dust canister (simple push button and remove) then untwist the filter housing (tight fit but necessary to contain the dust). Dump out the contents and reassemble. Filter can be cleaned with mild soap and water.

• The canister dumps into a trash can like every other canister.

• if you mean opening up the main reservoir with dirt its a simple button release on the front handle, if you intend to clean the filters you have to twist off the red filter from the inside

• Just remove container from vacuum with a push of the button and empty it in the trash
