Q: QuestionI have several Black & Decker tools with a 24 volt battery. Any chance the B&D battery would work here. It would greatly extend the run time.

• A:Answer This does not have this type of battery. B&D products use batteries specifically designed for B&D tools. This Dirt Devil is supposed to have a replaceable battery but it is not a plug-in style cartridge battery. The vacuum must be disassembled in order to get at the battery.

Q: QuestionDoes the part of the unit that needs to be charged disconnect from the rest of the vacuum or does the entire unit have to be mounted on the wall to charge?

• A:Answer The brush roll cannot turn off, however, you can easily remove it by pulling a labeled brush roll release latch on the side of the brush cover. Just be sure to disconnect the hand held vacuum from the wand before removing the brush roll to ensure there is no unintentional starting or power going to the nozzle.
