ND filters can matter on almost any camera drone, especially for video capture. The Air 2 has a fixed aperture, meaning you can only adjust shutter speed to limit how much light hits the sensor. Rule of thumb is to set your shutter speed to twice your frame rate ( 30 fps -> 1/60 shutter, 60 fps -> 1/120 shutter, etc ). On sunny days a 1/60 or 1/120 shutter is often too slow and will overexpose the capture, even if using ISO 100. Shooting video with a very fast shutter makes it look choppy and artificial. The ND filters cut down the light entering the lens, giving you more flexibility in setting your capture parameters. The filters are helpful for still photography when you are shooting REALLY bright scenes ( sunrises/sunsets ) or if you need a long exposure for a particular effect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are taking regular photos, no. But, if you want to do video properly, then yes. The shutter speed should always be double your frame rate. For example, if you want 4k at 60fps, your shutter should be 1/120. This is when an ND filter comes in. It can let you slow down the shutter. Of course it must be in manual to do this. The best ND filter for sunny days is a 16 or 32. Happy flying!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Filters are handy for any camera. The filters in the fly more combo are a little extreme however. Meant really for a person with no experience with filters to provide a starting point.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the filters make a big difference if you're flying directly at the sun or if it's too bright outside. You don't necessarily need to purchase the fly more bundle for the filters, you can simply purchase filters once they become available from third party vendors.
