I mean, yes, you can… but, in the US, federal law prohibits it. If you do fly, stay below 400 ft. But, I would advise familiarizing yourself with and obeying local, federal, and state laws. Though you don’t need a pilot’s license to fly the Mini 2, I would recommend using apps like OpenSky or Aloft to get LAANC clearance. You can get immediate clearance or schedule a flight in advance. Apart from all the options in the app, Once you choose the location, date, and time of flight, the app will inform you if you can fly and give you reasons why in case you can’t. Please note that using the app to get clearance means you will have to register your drone. If you violate FAA rules, the FAA will still find you even if you’re not registered but using the apps mentioned above gives you legal federal clearance.. which can be used as evidence in your support. The Aloft app (formerly kittyhawk) can be found in the AppStore or through FAA’s official website (I’m sure there’s an android version too).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dear customer, Thanks for your inquiry. If you want to fly at night, it is recommended to observe the surrounding environment before flying, try to avoid flying in places with many buildings, and pay attention to the flying height. Please try to fly within sight distance. Best Regards, DJI Support
