A:Answer DJI has insisted on retailers reducing their return period to 15 days, in order to eliminate "frivolous" (their words) returns, and "sustain" sales. They forced Target to also comply to the 15 day return period.
They can do this due to the nature of retail sales. DJI provides the drones to Best Buy on credit, when Best Buy completes a sale of a drone, that drone's "credit" becomes due to the vendor (DJI). When an individual returns a drone within the return period, Best Buy does not have to pay out for that sale (as its been returned). Best Buy is then able to either send the opened drone back to DJI, or accept it and sell as open box. In case of open box, Best Buy will pay DJI on same timeline as if original buy never returned it.
Hope that helps.
