Does the drone fly by GPS & how far away ? null

You can track it via GPS, and the range is roughly a mile, but it's unlikely that you'll want to get it that far away as it's a little sketchy when it's not in line of sight.

Yes it does! That's one of the things that makes DJI technology so fantastic. Spark can connect to up to 20 satellites at once to make sure the drone stays exactly where you left it when you let go of the control sticks. It also allows the drone to fly autonomously and return back to you if the connection is lost. Spark can fly up to 1.24mi away while maintaining control and live video feed when using the remote. When using just your phone it has a range up to about 300'.
