“How long does it take to charge a controller when charging by hooking to unit ? Does a light go off on the controller? On the unit? Does the orange light go off ? Help? How do I know ..to tell my grandson . grandma needs help ..lol”

On the main menu screen when you plug-in the controller a icon on upper left or right corner will show how much battery you’ll have.. or By pressing the PS button will show the icon (only while you have the application or game playing).. Plugging in the controller with will also change colors, red meaning needs to be charged and blue is done charging..

Unless you are actively using the controller then it will be another color and you won't be able to tell if it's done charging except on the PlayStation 4 device screen
