What is sync for? null

This would synch the phone to a computer.

For taking pictures off my iPhone. I hook it up to my computer.

The word sync is an easy way of saying copying. I plug this plug into my iMac computer and attach my iPhone and Photos and iTunes starts up and will start syncing the phone's data for backing up and the Photos app will ask if I want to import photo's on my iPhone to the computer. Pretty simple process which I love.

Sync with your iTunes on your computer

The Sync is to download to your PC.

This would allow the phone to be synced to a computer or another device.

Sync is for when you hook it up to the computer to add files or back up the device.

They are referring to "syncing" your device with iTunes (through your computer), which you can do with this cable.

Sync allows you to plug in your device to your computer to sync them together or to sync your iTunes to your phone using the cord thru your computer.

When you llug it in to pc or mac to back up your phone.
