I called dyson because this is my second one and same issue. The new one stops working and won’t turn on for about 30 minutes I called dyson and there was an issue with serial numbers starting wirh WF8. They fixed the issue so they asked me to send mine back and as soon as I drop off at ups (they gave me a number) they will ship a new one

I don't see a red light, but maybe that shuts off as well when the unit does. Contacted Dyson support. My serial number begins with WF8. Really awful experience since I paid over $500 and it's less than a year old! Let's see what Dyson will do to remedy this situation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The first Airwrap I got did that. As soon as you would turn it off after doing one curl it would not power on and just flash the red light. I had it exchanged and that second unit also had the same issue, except it allowed me to do half my head before the issue started. I asked Dyson for assistance and they offered to exchange the Airwrap once again. So currently waiting on my third Airwrap in less than two weeks. I feel it might be an underlying issue that Dyson has not yet acknowledged.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just opened the air wrap I picked up from Best Buy today and it won’t turn on at all. The safety switch test also failed. My serial number starts with WF8 as well. I’m a reliability engineer, and this is what is called an out-of-box failure. There is really no excuse for this considering the price of this device. Dyson should be doing 100% end of line inspection on a device this expensive. This would have caught this faulty unit before it was shipped to a customer. It seems like there is a serious issue with this lot and it’s a shame that Dyson is still shipping out product from it several years later. Shame on you Dyson.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unreliable product. I bought a refurbished unit under warranty (The serial number starts with WF8), purchased directly from Dyson. Upon the second use, it shut off before I was able to finish, left it for a couple days and it started again. Customer service told me to clean the filter, and they claim that there is no problem, but this is an UNRELIABLE PRODUCT!! Garbage product and garbage company who won't stand behind their products.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES! I got a refurbished one and it did that, it has now stopped working altogether (a month in) so am claiming under warranty. I did get it working for a bit as long as I used the cool function to cool down the curl. My assumption is that its an overheating issue, so doing that stopped the constant need to wait to turn it back on.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My Airwrap was the same. Red light and shutting off halfway through drying. Spent 5 days on Twitter getting their advice. (Would take them 12 hours to reply each time). The. 3 different people from repairs booked to have it picked up and repaired for £99 as out of warranty. On two occasions, they didn’t turn up after if arranged to be home. 3rd time lucky. No! Emailed me to say it had a problem with the motor and if I didn’t reply within 3 days, they’d send it for recycling!! Lucky I saw the email and asked for it back. Will try and get a local repair shop to take a look. Horrible customer service and a £450 hair curler that won’t work after two years.
