• A:Answer It's 1500W same as any other heater. It is not more efficient when it comes to energy use. The economics come into play when you think about the ability to set a temperature. The heater will turn on and heat up the room to that exact temp (I verified this with an external thermometer) and shut off when that temp is reached to prevent overheating a space and wasting money.

Q: QuestionQuestion for Dyson: I have a parrot, they have v sensitive respitory systems. PTFE’s, teflon etc are deadly when heated. Does this product contain PTFE, and is it certified as safe for parrots when heated? Thanks for answer.

• A:Answer It will push air, or heat air. But it doesn't not have a way to cool air. Typically fans can reduce the perceived temperature by 4 degrees.

• A:Answer The US version is specifically rated for 120 Voltage AC, 60 Hertz, with 12.5 Amps maximum. That comes out to using a maximum of 1,500 Watts.

The AM09 is not a linked machine, so it cannot be connected to the Dyson Link App. Our Pure Cool Link and Hot + Cool Link purifiers can be connected, however. I hope this helps. • A:Answer Hi! Dyson has put as a safety feature that the machine will turn off after 8+ hours of use when heating. This is to avoid overheating the unit but also any accidents caused by leaving it running all day. Consider it a 'sleep' feature. To avoid it shutting off just here and there press a button on the remote just to reset the timer. But there is no real way to turn off the feature.

Q: QuestionFor heat can I set the temperature down to 50 degrees? If this is possible will it maintain that temperature? I.E. will it shut off when temperature is reached and will it turn back on when the temperature in the room falls below 50 degrees again?

Q: QuestionHow does the air flow on this AM09 compare to the fan only unit AM07? I want a new fan, and I use a room heater in the winter, so I'd be interested in having one appliance to do both if this puts out a comparable breeze to a regular fan.

• A:Answer It moves air just like a normal fan on the cold speed, but it doesn’t cool the air like you to expect something like this from Dyson to do. As I said in my review, pushes a lot of air but also dust and allergens around as well. For the price you pay for this, you might as well pay a little more for their version that also acts as an air purifier. Just my opinion but that’s what I would suggest.
