Hi JG, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2, and Dyson Ball Animal 2 vacuums are very similar in terms of performance. Both feature a self-adjusting cleaner head to seal in suction acrtoss all flooring types. You can also turn the brush bar on/off on both models, should you wish to do so while vacuuming bare floors. Both machines will also come standard with the stair tool and combination tool. Suction power on the Multi Floor 2 is 245 air watts, and 270 air watts on the Ball Animal 2. The Ball Animal 2 is our most powerful upright. That model will also come equipped with the tangle-free turbine tool, which is the ideal pet hair removal tool for stairs, furniture, etc. I hope this helps! Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.. I am guessing but there might be a difference in the filter and beater bar bristles. I had the animal previously and while it does a great job, the yellow model I bought seems to have greater suction and a longer cord. It’s also not as heavy as the animal 2 but again, it may be in the filtration for animal hair/dander.
