• Not sure about dustmites, but when you run this vacuum on the carpet, you'll notice a significant amount of small dust particles! I thought my sebo was strong, this one kills it in suction and agitation. My carpets looked matter before and now you actually see carpet vacuum streaks So I'm sure it's pretty good with dust/dust mites

• Depends on the floor that you have. fitted carpet, hard woods, rugs. I don't know if it's the "best" but I'm sure it will remove some. a Miele C3 or a Kirby would probably do better. But you'll be paying over $1000.
