QuestionCan the soft roller head be used on a low pile carpet? We have a very expensive carpet and do not want to use a beater brush with stiff bristles on it.

- Answer Yes, it can be and we do that. After vacuuming, the amount of dirt that is picked up (a lot) shows that it works well.

QuestionPurchased Dyson V6 30 days ago and not happy with it's 20 minutes of use time. Can I trade it in for the v10 and pay the difference?

- Answer I got my wife the v10 absolute and i don't think the time is a whole lot more. she said it lasts about 30 to 40 mins on max power. We have an upright for upstairs and a roomba does downstairs we just got v10 for the stairs. Hope this helps

QuestionAre the v6 Absolute attachments compatible with the V8? My v6 has died and I am wondering if the floor attachments would work on a V8?

- Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Attachments that fit on the Dyson V6 cordless vacuums would not attach to the V7 or later models. The newer machines all feature the quick-release attachments. Any non-motorized V7, V8 or V10 attachments would be interchangeable. The Cyclone V10 is our latest and longest latest cordless yet with a run time ranging from 5-60 minutes depending on the mode and tool used. QuestionIt is universal voltage? I need it for 220v.

- Answer Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute. With the motorized tool in use and using MAX mode you will get 5 minutes of run time with a full charge. Switching to the suction mode 2 you will get 20 minutes of run time with a full charge with a motorized tool in use. Then in standard mode you will get 35 minutes with a motorized tool in use. Without the motorized tool you will get 5 minutes in MAX mode, 30 minutes in mode 2 and 60 minutes in standard mode. Best Wishes, Krystal Dyson Customer Support

QuestionAn earlier question was about the cost of the replacement battery. Dyson rep answered that the battery should last "the life of the machine." What is the life of the machine? Does the standard warranty cover battery fade? If not, how long?

QuestionDoes this have all the same features as the V8 absolute? The description for the V8 says 2-in-1 handheld/stick vacuum. Does the V10 have this feature? Trying to decide if the extra $200 is worth it.... Thanks in advance for anyones help!

- Answer Hey Josh, I had the V8 and I would say the major differences are the battery life. We have a decent house and couldn’t clean the whole house with the V8 but with the battery life of the V10 its perfect. The suction power behind the v10 also feels stronger.

QuestionWhat is the difference in the V10 purple and the V10 copper?? $100 difference in price

- Answer The copper comes with the soft-roller cleaner head, which is specifically for hard floors. If you have a majority of carpeted floors in your house, the regular cleaner head that comes with the purple should suffice, it does a good enough job. But the soft-roller can pick up all kinds of bigger, crazier things like potato chips and cheerios. Maybe if you have a gigantic kitchen and a lot of messy kids the extra expense would be worth it for the copper, but for a mostly carpeted home you'll be fine with the purple.
