• You remove it vertically. You need to be able to lift it up at least 6”

• Hi Frank, this is Kelly with Dyson. The charging cable that comes with our cord-free machines is 6' long. The machine will include a diagram and instructions on how far away from the outlet you need to mount the dock, in order for the cord to plug in without being stretched.
