Hello Leon, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Motorhead and Animal models are very similar, in terms of both run time and suction power. The Motorhead model features a direct-drive cleaner head which is suitable for use on both bare floors and carpeting. The Animal model will include the torque drive cleaner head, which is also made for both hard floors and carpets. This floor also features a slider on the head which allows you to open up the bleeds for assisting with pick up of larger debris.
