The detect has a dumb little light that supposedly helps to find dirt you certainly missed on a hard floor.

It literally shows you the particles you cannot see clearly, especially in the daylight. It works best with lights off in your home so the laser illumination can pick up more dust debris. The downside is, that it shows you how more dirty your floors are than previously believed. Source, I just picked up the Dyson Outsize+ with the same cleaning head.

Please try again later.The outsize includes more attachments including an additional battery, if you get it through the Dyson website, you would have to read the description to see if you get the extra battery here. I believe the outsize ia also larger, the canister I believe. The motor an suction are the same.
