“What does F with 3 vertical lines mean?”

• needs to be reset. mine started doing that a while ago and i went bought new filter for it replaced it but was still getting the f with 3 flashing lines and others said u need to hold down the power button on the remote for 6 seconds to reset it and it worked for me

• Do you mean three horizontal lines that are vertically stacked? That's what my fan has on its display. It's a signal to change the filter.
