Q: QuestionHello, Can this machine automatically switch from cool to hot? For instance, right when we go to bed, we need it to cool, but once the temperature drops at night, we need it to heat. Thank you.

Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries they are sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed for 110-120v electricity. Our machines are not multi-voltage and we do not recommend using a converter with any of our products, as such usage will void the warranty per warranty terms and conditions. • A:Answer Hi Char, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Cool Link and Pure Hot + Cool purifier fan will clean the air in any size room. The bigger the room, the longer the machine will take to purify it as there is more air in the atmosphere. For instance in a room of 139ft², the machine will purify the room in 25 min. • A:Answer Hi John, this is Kelly with Dyson. If you're looking for a purifier that can also provide heat, this is a great model to have. It's different from the HP01 in that it's got built-in WiFi capability to connect to the Dyson Link App. Other than this feature, it's going to offer the same that the HP01 does. • A:Answer Hello Jamie, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool™ Link purifier fan has the ability to detect particulates larger than one micron in the air using two sensors. Particles are tiny fragments such as pollen and smoke that are lightweight enough to be airborne and are therefore easy to inhale. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool™ Link purifier fan captures these by trapping them in the glass borosilicate fibers of its HEPA filter. VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) are gaseous chemical compounds, both human-made and naturally occurring, including fumes and toxins. • A:Answer Hello Jules, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson products are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed.   However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Please be aware that use of your machine outside of the country which it was purchased may void your warranty. This is outlined under the Terms and Conditions of the warranty under the What is Not Covered section in the operating manual. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support

• A:Answer Hi Ian, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Pure Hot + Cool Link, in the max fan setting will use 44 watts of power, and in max heat setting, 1575 watts. Machines that use an ionizer release charged chemicals into the air, however this generates ozone in the home. Dyson purifiers do not use ionization to purify the air, so therefore our products do not generate ozone. This machine will come with a remote control and an included filter. • A:Answer The filter does require air to be circulating in order to do its job, so the fan or heat will have to be on. With the auto setting though it will only turn on when your air quality has decreased, so it won’t need to run all the time.
