Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11™ Torque Drive and Animal models are very similar. Both will feature twice the suction of any cord-free vacuum, whole-machine filtration, our powerful V11 motor, a pressure sensor that signals that maintenance is needed when it detects a drop in airflow, and a high torque cleaner head that uses stiff nylon bristles to drive deep into carpet, and soft, anti-static carbon fiber filaments that capture dust from hard floors. On the Dyson V11™ Torque Drive, you will have an LCD screen that reports remaining battery life and maintenance alerts right on the screen. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The display is the only difference. My animal has a normal display where the torque drive has the lcd screen and one extra attachment. The animal was $100 cheaper not having the lcd screen and I’m fine with that.

Please try again later.The V11 Torque Drive comes with one additional cleaner head (small half sized unit) that is good for delicate fabrics (think curtains) and it has a different readout for battery life (it will tell you in percentages how much life you have left versus the Animal model has three bars to indicate battery life). Other than that, it's the same Vacuum. Same amount of suction, same filters, etc.

The Torque instead has a touch screen and fancy video display that will show you instructions how to use your vacuum cleaner. Totally not worth the extra $$ in my opinion. P.S. No difference mechanically, so why they call one the "Animal" is beyond me.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The v11 torque comes with an extra attachment and has an LCD touch screen that shows you your battery life and allows you to change the suction power. They both have the same battery life and power.
