- Answer I believe the upright animal 2 has more suction power. But the V11 is better engineered and doesn't need as high suction power to compete with the upright Animal 2.

QuestionDoes this vacuum work in very fluffy carpets? I know it works from floor to carpet, but what about really plush ones? I wrote directly to Dysin but only got the automated responses that list the product’s motor specifications.

Question2021 Is there a V11 that uses a cord, and also cord free? what is the color code: blue , purple, etc. what does it signify?

- Answer Hi Paula, this is Kelly with Dyson. None of the Dyson cord-free machines can also be used with a cord. The charger cord is short - 6' and the machine will not operate while charging. QuestionCan the wall mount be removed and remounted somewhere else without damaging the wall or the mount?

- Answer Yes you can remove the wall mount and relocate it. There are wall anchors that are provided to screw the wall mount in place. You will have to install new anchors at the new location. If you are unsure, you can opt not to use the wall mount and just plug it in using the power cord.

QuestionI have a Dyson v11 Torque drive that won't do anything. When plugged in the blue lights show up on the battery like its full but then you unplug it and turn it on and hold the trigger and and the lights light up but no power or noise or anything.

- Answer My Dyson V11 also has some issue with the trigger not working. I have reached out to Dyson support (I'm under warranty) but this is what they told me: The information provided does indicate that you will need replacement Main body and Cyclone for your machine. The replacement for your machine is currently out of stock and we do not have a date of when it will be back in stock. I don't think they will honor their own warranty.

QuestionCan I use this V11 torque în European countries or should I purchase it in Europe. I know the plug power is different. Prices are so high here compared to US.

- Answer I don’t know the answer for sure and would advise you to contact Dyson, but I would guess everything is the same except for possibly the power adapter. Sometimes power adapters can handle 120/240 automatically, but if this one doesn’t, you could probably buy the US version Vacuum, and the EU power adapter separately. It’s highly likely they use the same battery pack and charging voltage (12v/24v/etc). Do the research to be sure though.

QuestionWhen will Dyson offer a snap in battery ?This would be helpful to have two battery's so you never run out of power . Also for easy replacement when one goes dead.

- Answer Hi Ven, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V11 Torque Drive cord-free vacuum has a cleaner head which features an integrated digital motor which spins the brush bar up to 60 times a second. It drives stiff nylon bristles deep into carpet to remove dirt, and carbon fiber filaments capture fine dust on hard floors. This is a great model for households with carpets, and hard flooring. The V11 is our longest running cord-free and also has the most suction of our cord-free machine offerings. QuestionWhat is the life expectancy of the battery? Also can the battery be replaced? I would not want to spend $600 and then find out in five years that the battery is dead and and there is no replacement or Dyson no longer makes the battery.

While we can't guarantee a lifespan for the battery due to varying factors, I can confirm that we would generally expect the battery to outlast the free 2-year guarantee provided with all new machines purchased from an authorized retailer. While we don't expect problems to occur, the guarantee is in place to help protect against any problems that may ever arise or come up with a new purchase. I'm also happy to share that we do also have many happy cordless Dyson owners who are still enjoying some of our earlier models today. If needed, the battery can be replaced. QuestionCan this be used on "wool" carpets as I heard wool carpets as wool carpets require very low suction? Also, does it leave streak on wood floor as my Dyson v7 left streaks/lines on my wood floor all over the house as it has a roller ball near head.?

- Answer I can’t speak to the wool carpets, but I’ve never had an issue with it leaving streaks on my hardwoods, vinyl, or tile flooring in two years of owning it.

QuestionWhat exactly does 90 day guarantee mean? Does it mean up to and including the 90th day, if I am unhappy with vacuum for ANY reason whatsoever I can return it to Best Buy for a full refund? Is there a restocking fee? Do I need original packaging?

- Answer You can use the switch on the High Torque cleaner head to further adjust the suction. Slide it towards the '+' for maximum suction for ground-in dirt and large debris on durable floor coverings. And towards the '-' for light dirt on deep pile carpets and delicate floor coverings, such as vinyl and lino. Leave it in the middle for dust and debris on carpets, rugs and hard floors.
