Hi there, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for reaching out regarding your V6. It is recommended to empty the canister before debris goes over the MAX line. In the event, that debris does go over the MAX line and you notice a build up along the top, the canister can be completely separated by using the bin release catch with the bin lid open. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Dump it more frequently. I have the exact same problem! This should probably be avoided as much as possible but when it does happen, it's much easier to take the canister off completely.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I usually empty the canister several times when I'm vacuuming, usually when it's half full. If you fill it up the whole way a few taps on the side of the trash can does the trick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Found a couple good examples of cleaning on youtube. Just do a search for "dyson v6 cleaning".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found it easier to take the canister off altogether and the dirt falls right out with ease. To get it off you press the red button and then twist slightly and it will separate from the handheld portion of the vacuum.
