I have a Dyson V7. Is it OK that I leave the port plugged in at all times and the vacuum cleaner will shut off and the battery will be OK if it’s plugged in at all times??
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Matt. The Dyson V6 is designed so that you can store the unit on the charger. Storing the Dyson on the charger will not harm the battery and it is not necessary to use the unit until the battery is depleted. We will be happy to answer any additional questions regarding the functionality of the V6 via email at [email protected]. Best wishes, Vince P.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I keep mine plugged in at all times. I've done this with 2 Dyson for 3 years. Never changes charge.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If it is a lithium ion battery then yes it can stay plugged in all the time. But if it is a nickel metal hydride then it should be run down, charged fully and then unplugged. Lithium batteries do not get a memory so they can be charged no matter what the state of charge is. Nickel batteries on the other hand can develop a memory; meaning if you always charge it when it is only partially discharged after a while it will only charge to the partially discharged state.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The battery life is TERRIBLE!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm sure it will work either way but we keep in plugged in constantly to wall charger with no problems. Something special about the battery charger that prevents it from overcharging. Once full battery charging stops!
