This happened to me once, and I figured out that the vacuum was clogged. Hopefully, you've figured it out since you posted a month ago!

If you are using your machine in MAX suction mode for the majority of your cleaning sessions, it would be normal for the machine to run warmer. This mode provides a boost of suction power for more stubborn messes or larger debris, but also causes the motor and battery to run harder to keep up with the suction.
