Is the dyson v8 animal safe on hardwood floors null

It is "safe" for hardwood floors, but the roller wheels wear out quickly and begin marking the floor. The marks come out, but not easily. I had to replace the wheels after 6 months and I about to replace them again. Not very well designed.

NOOOOO!!! Do not use this vacuum on hardwood floors. I've had it for almost four months and our hardwood floors, which we've just refinished, are covered in scratches that do not buff out! It worked great at first but then it turned on me. Now my husband is mad at me for begging for this supposedly amazing vacuum and my floors look terrible.

It works great at first. After a few months, it leaves streaks when the 2 little wheels at the bottom of the head start to deteriorate. It happened to me after 4 months and I do not even vacuum very often. The head was replaced but it again gave me the streaks after 3 months. I now have to bring it into a service center to have it looked at, probably to have those 2 little wheels replaced. Was advised that the Absoulte models with soft roller heads will not do this as there are no wheels in these. Am not happy.

It was great for wood floors for about 5 months, now it leaves scuff marks & is unusable on the floor. I use it for the couch now, that's about it.

After 6 months the large roller in the back has worn down and it is scratching my hardwoods. It did the same with a friend.

The Dyson v6 was fine at first but now leaves faint scratch marks on our dark hardwood. It appears to be the large wheels at the back that scratch when you pivot the head. I would definitely look at something else for the money!

NO! The floor attachment that the V8 Animal comes with will most definitely scratch your floor. If there is the smallest particle stuck to the roller, it will scratch.

The swivel part will ruin your real hardwood floors!! It’s awful

My house is 90% wood floors and tile and it does great on it. It does a great job on the little bit of carpet I have as well. You will be pleasantly surprised at how fast and easy vacuuming up the hair is. :-)

Absolutley safe. We use it on ours all the time.
