It’s great with a longer battery life than the V6. And great for animal hair and Easy to empty. I Vacuum the whole house with carpet and get all pet hair up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you're looking for a cordless yes. It does a fantastic job of pulling up hair out of carpets and the canister is easy to clean and empty. That said, even with the great run time I would almost recommend you go with a standard corded vacuum (Dyson Animal) with a larger canister and no battery limitation. I can see you potentially emptying the canister often and risking needing a recharge on the battery (depending on the size of the house). We have a Dyson Animal upstairs for the carpeted area, and this cordless one downstairs where we have hardwood and a couple of area rugs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would venture to say yes. I have bought several cordless vacuums and this Dyson V8 is by far the most powerful. It can keep up with my 2 cats, and one is long-haired. As a side note, I wouldn't suggest Electrolux models.

However, there is a more expensive Dyson cordless called the Dyson V8 Absolute. It is very overpriced and all you get is the hardwood floor attachment. For your needs, I highly recommend this vacuum.
