How do I empty dirt from vacuum cleaner null

Pull the red lever on top of the vacuum while holding it over a trash can or bag. The bottom opens up and the trash falls out.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. On the V8 cord-free, there is a red latch that needs to be pulled upwards, twice, in order to empty the dust bin. The first time you pull upwards on that latch, the cyclone will come up and out of the machine, and the second pull opens up the bin base door, to allow for easy emptying over your trash bin.
