- Answer When the camera is dormant/standby it draws approximately .03A, and with the ignition on and camera on it is right around 1A

QuestionAt night, do the headlights of the car behind you interfere with the quality of the camera and the ability to see behind you?

- Answer If you have the camera on in the mirror continuously, the lights from the cars behind you will be bright and interfere with the quality of the camera. If you have the mirror set up to turn off the video in the mirror after 30 seconds (but the camera still records), then you will have the same ability to see behind you as a regular mirror without a camera.

QuestionI have a coupe with major blind spots and limited visibility, can I use this as a full time digital rear view mirror? I don't care about recording, I just want a digital projection of what's behind/around me when driving at all times

QuestionHow does it record, does it record all the time you’re driving or you have to start recording when you need it to record? And how can I see the video, is there any app to use ?

- Answer The unit will record automatically when the internal g-force sensor detects a collision, as well as having the ability to manually start or stop a recording. Parking mode can be turn on/off and the sensitivity that triggers it to start recording while parking mode is active can be adjusted. To view the videos, you would simply remove the micro SD card from the unit and use Echomaster GPS Player on a PC to view the recordings.

QuestionIs this going to drain my battery when my cars off ?

- Answer The mirror will draw minimal current when the vehicle is off and parking monitoring is used for detecting impacts, so that it can capture video if your vehicle is hit when off. This can be toggled on/off in the menu once installed.

QuestionI'd like to install this unit in vehicles with no rear windows (vans, box trucks, etc.). My builds include an auxiliary "house" battery. Is it possible to power this unit from the "house" battery, and have it function at all times, including when parked?

- Answer Yes, if the power to the camera was connected to accessory power instead of the reverse lamps, the monitor would be on the reverse screen all the time, seeing the signal always present

- Answer The screen can be manually dimmed or or set to automatically dim in the settings menu on the mirror

QuestionIs there a way to have the cameras continuously on instead of only no more than a few seconds while driving? It's annoying to have to constantly touch screen to keep the cameras on.

- Answer The rearview camera can be set to always on, and display the image from the rear camera whenever the vehicle is on and the mirror is powered up. The setting can be found in the System Settings menu, under "automatic rearview."

- Answer The cable provided to attach the camera to the monitor is 20' long. While the kit will work in any vehicle with a 12-volt system, the overall length must also be considered. The cable cannot be extended.

- Answer This mirror replaces the factory rearview mirror in the vehicle. If you have buttons that activate OnStar, or other electronic controls built into the factory one, those features would be lost when replacing the mirror.

- Answer The mirror needs constant 12v, accessory/keyed 12v, and ground. Where that is derived from in the vehicle would depend on the vehicle it is being installed in, and where you choose to connect it. The reverse camera has a connection to make at the reverse light in the vehicle, to switch the mirror over to the HD backup camera view automatically.

- Answer When you put the car in reverse, the camera automatically comes on so you can see to back up - also, when the car is bumped the camera will record front and back for the length of time you designate. You can also turn it on if you want the rear camera on at any time.

- Answer This is a universal replacement rearview mirror and backup camera combo. The mirror would replace the existing rearview mirror and the backup camera would be mounted in the rear of the vehicle or on the rear bumper.
