Hello - They will be two units, but controlled in the same app interface, you could just use 1st floor and 2nd floor or whatever you wanted to call them. The sensors are tied to a unit so if you had a sensor on the 1st floor you would tie it to that unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can have multiple thermostats and multiple remote sensors in the app. I used the remote sensor since I have one HAVC system. I added two remote sensors to track which rooms are occupied. the system tries to hit the target temperature in the areas that are occupied. So since my thermostat is in a hallway near the bedrooms but the master bedroom is on the other end of the house, I want it to base the control on where people are in the house. we have the main living area, master bedroom and the bedroom hallway. If you have separate HVAC units for each floor you would definitely want two thermostats. If you only have one HVAC unit I would suggest adding sensor and saving the cost on the second thermostat.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will show two different units in the app. But you can label them different names.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’ll be 2 devices in the app. And if you use Alexa or some other asst you’d just name one downstairs and one upstairs. The sensors would be specific to the device I think (eg you’d put a sensor upstairs for the upstairs unit) but those may be able to connect to two-I just can’t figure out why you’d want that but may be missing something.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They will show as two different units in the app. You will be able to see the sensors and temp in the associated ecobee you add them to.
