Yes, but it comes with an adapter that you connect to replace the c-wire if you don't have a c-wire, this thermostat allowed me to lock my aux strip out so I could get my $550 rebate from electric company.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does. In fact all models do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have both types of ecobees and they both require a c wire or you have to use the additional device they have in the box.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a C-wire is required because the thermostat runs on electricity and not batteries like some. It comes with an adapter that can used as a C-wire when connected at the furnace. We had an extra unused wire in our old thermostat and my husband made that the C-wire. My husband got it up and running in less than 30 minutes. The Ecobee3 walks you through step by step.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, a "C" wire is needed. The unit that comes with the ecobee does not work with less than three wires. You need a Fast-Stat Universal Common Maker. You can get one at www.fast-stat.com. The "common" will complete the circuit for the thermostat to stay on continuously and interface with your wireless router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes But it comes with a kit to convert 5 wires into 4.
