They have fixed the issue if you email them to update your firmware... There is also a mute function if you really prefer which effectivly disables it, but puts a red light on it. Really no need if you update though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.with the latest update, the ESP has been fixed i no longer get my echo and ecobee respond back at the same time You can disable the built in microphone, but that will leave a light on all the time on the top of the unit
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unlike the Ecobee, you can change the wake up word on the Echo dot. I have the original Echo, the Echo Plus, and the Echo Dot along with the Ecobee4 thermostat. Love it all. Playfully, I changed the wake-up word on all the Echo's to "Computer", I like Star Trek, but alas, the Echobee has to remain "Alexa". Having more than one device hear the wake-up word it not a problem anyway.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You sure can. I am fully integrated into the Apple ecosystem, so I simply just never enabled it during the initial setup.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All Alexa devices coordinate themselves so that only the device closest to you will answer you. You can control them all under the Alexa app also. I also have Echo Dot in every room and only one device answer me every time.
