I recommend using the max power mode when dealing with smaller particles like sand. The robot vacuum does really well at suction on hard floors and low caepets. However the side brushes do tend to push around dirt and sand ( this is common for most robot vacuums). But the algorithm seems to pick up everything eventually after a full run around the house
