• Yes but your range extension will be limited in bandwidth by the older 6.

• Yes, all eero can be used with every other model of eero and can wirelessly extend the range of your head gateway eero. When you have this at home, plug it in, wait for it to go blinking blue, then go to your eero app, click the blue plus button in the upper right corner, select add/replace an eero device and then add an eero, it will walk you through adding this eero to your network.
